The Origin Story of the Luxor Eclipse Residency
If you’ve been following my journey for a while, You might know that the year before I found my Nadiya, I spent the summer backpacking through Europe, Africa, and asia.
A month beforehand, I was scuba diving in Honduras—at a time when it was still rumored to be the murder capital of the world.
It’s been seven months since her passing, and after a period of grief, I’m finally ready to look toward the future again.
which is why I’ve booked a villa during the longest solar eclipse of the 21st century in Luxor, Egypt.
The villa is a Nubian home with a walled garden less than two miles from the Valley of the Kings and within walking distance of a few special temples.
I enjoyed having a walled garden with a view of the Great Pyramids so much last time I visited Egypt, that I just knew I had to get one in Luxor.
During this next adventure, I’ll be setting up an artist residency for myself and 5 others to document the Egyptian concept of the Ahket and the experience of the divine feminine overtaking the divine masculine in the celestial cycle.

Symbolized in hieroglyphics as the sun between two mountains.
Symbolized in architecture as the sun aligning between two pillars.
The next solar eclipse of this duration will not occur again until the 2150’s.
That is to say:
this is a once-in-a-lifetime convergence of sacred time and celestial alignment directly overhead the Valley of the Kings.
